To View an Asset in iTwin Viewer

You can view the 3D iModel of an asset, using iTwin Viewer, providing that the iModel for this asset resides in the iModel Hub, and is linked to the asset via an external process.

The iTwin Viewer base URL must also be predefined before you can successfully invoke the application through AssetWise CONNECT Edition. For more information about defining the base URL, see iTwinViewer Settings.

Note: This feature only allows you to view 3D iModels through the iTwin Viewer. Editing, commenting, or markup functionality is not available through this feature.

Follow these steps to invoke the iTwin Viewer application and view the 3D iModel for an asset.

Open the asset that includes a 3D iModel.
From the Object menu, select View in iTwin Viewer. For example,

The iTwin Viewer opens and displays the 3D iModel for this asset.
